Santa Lucia is the terminal railway station serving the city of Venice, the city of canals, from 1860 and it’s located in the heart of the city center. Santa Lucia station took up the name of the church of Santa Lucia that has been demolished to build it.

Thanks to the design of Mazzoni and Vallot architects, it’s one of the most modern buildings facing the Gran Canal. This location is the set of a lot of important movies. In “The tourist” (2010) here has been set the scene where Elise (Angiolina Jolie) and Frank (Johnny Depp), get off the train separately and where Elise invited Frank to go to her hotel by a taxi boat.
